MENTOR PROGRAMS

Developing long-lasting relationships with youth members. A commitment to making a difference in the lives of many young people.

Foundation History

  • 2009- Established with a small group of neighborhood girls. We wanted to see more activities for the youth in our neighborhood and decided to create more opportunity for youth engagement.
  • 2011- Acquired our very first space to call home. This blessing from UNEC allowed for growth, programming, and partnerships.
  • 2013- Project One Love was awarded a YAR grant through United Way for $2500 in support of our yearly Back To School Community Day. With support of the community, we were able to support the families in the community with school supplies, clothing drive, food, games, music, & resources to help with the start of the new school year.
  • 2014/2015- Developed new partnerships with Kipp Public Schools & Enlace Academy with  resources that empower our youth. We are able to service families with Before & After Care Services within the school. In addition we provide better programs.

Our Volunteer Lead Coordinator who spends lots of her free time providing the children in the community with numerous activities.

Working within the community to help support youth-related issues was only the beginning. Collaborating with other community leaders taught us a lot and helping people became a life-long journey. We are so fortunate to be able to impact the lives of others, all while partnering with some of the most passionate and driven community members in the state.
